We are committed to ensuring our volunteers' skills and interests are a good fit for each role. Matching skills and interests to roles delivers the best outcomes for both the volunteer and our objectives.
How to volunteer with us
1. Read the role descriptions for the current volunteer opportunities
We manage all opportunities through Better Impact.
2. Attend an interview
If we can match you to a role, we'll also arrange an interview time when we contact you.
3. Participate in an induction session and training
After your interview, we'll provide you with important documents, including the Volunteer Handbook, Agreement and Code of Conduct. You must also:
- obtain a Police Check and Working with Children Card (we will cover the cost and can help you apply)
- complete online training
- attend a short induction session.
4. Begin your first volunteer shift
After your induction and onboarding, you'll be ready to start volunteering.
Documents you must provide us with
To volunteer with us, you must provide us with:
- a copy of valid Police Check (if required, we will cover the cost)
- a copy of valid Working with Children Check, if required (we will cover the cost and can help you apply)
- contact details for two referees
- a copy of our Volunteer Agreement which you have read and signed to acknowledge your agreement.
Work experience and volunteering as youth
If you are a high school student looking for work experience, please contact us.
If you are a tertiary student looking for work experience, please know that we only provide student placements when it is a course requirement. You can contact us to learn more.
For all programs we advertise through BetterImpact, you must be 18 years or older to volunteer with us. You can consider getting involved through our youth service programs.
