How to register, renew your registration, pay and update your details.
We email food and health renewal notices every November for registration in the next calendar year.
Types of businesses requiring registration and renewal:
- food premises (class 1, 2,3 and 3A)
- personal care or body art businesses (high risk services)
- prescribed accommodation businesses
- businesses with aquatic facilities (pools, spas, etc).
We send the renewal notice to the email address for your business. If we don't have your email address, we'll send your renewal by post.

How to register on our online portal
You must register on our online portal to manage your food and health registrations.
Follow these steps to register:
- Have you registration number ready. This begins with either RPF or RPH.
- Submit your registration. Please ensure that your account details match the name or company on your renewal.
- You will receive a verification from link to your nominated email address. This can take up to 10 business days.
- Click on the verification link to create a password and access the portal.
How to renew your registration
You should review your renewal notice to make sure your information is correct. You can update your information and manage your registration on our online portal.
You don't need an account to make a payment. You can pay directly online with your payment reference number found on your renewal notice.
When we receive payment, we'll email your registration certificate to you. You can also access a copy of your certificate in the portal.

Call 1300 792 772 and select option 8. When prompted, enter the phone payment reference number from your renewal notice.
Make a personal cheque, bank cheque or money order (no cash please) payable to Yarra City Council and send it to:

Pay in person at one of our customer service centres (bring a copy of your renewal notice).

- Contact details
- Trading name or ABN
- Type of premises
- Food safety supervisors
- Food safety programs
- Trading hours
If you recently closed or transferred ownership of your business, you must lodge a business closure.
