At Tuesday night’s Council Meeting, Council resolved to:
develop the Urban Renewal Strategy for Victoria Street in partnership with local businesses, residents and the private sector.
Start a one-year trial of free parking on 1 July for the first hour on Swan Street, Bridge Road and Victoria Street.
invest in upgrading Yarra City Council’s IT system by replacing several end-of-life systems with a multi-million-dollar enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, to improve the quality and efficiency of its service to residents and customers.
amend the Elizabeth Street bike lane to restore some parking space for Elizabeth Street residents and the Chùa Phước Tường temple.
