At its final Council Meeting for 2024, Yarra City Council endorsed the revised design for the Brunswick Street Oval precinct, awarded the contract for the design and construction of the Yambla Pavilion redevelopment, and more.
At Tuesday night’s Council Meeting, Council:
endorsed the revised design for the Brunswick Street Oval precinct, with the inclusion of a new landscape plan.
awarded the contract for the design and construction of the Yambla Pavilion redevelopment (successful tenderer to be announced shortly).
resolved to geofence all footpaths narrower than two metres across the municipality by the end of January 2025, prioritising hotspots for e-scooter trips and events.
endorsed recommendations from the Road Safety Plan to be implemented in response to the findings of the Alphington Road Safety Study (RSS).
endorsed the development of an integrated, multi-disciplinary Urban Renewal Strategy for Victoria Street, for further Council consideration.
