At its meeting on Tuesday 13 May 2025, Yarra City Council established its new Advisory Committee structure and adopted an updated Council Committees Policy together with Terms of Reference for each of the 13 advisory committees that will help Council achieve its strategic objectives of the Council Plan. 

The committees tap local expertise across arts, transport, business, environment, multicultural affairs and more. Four of the new committees are Families and Children, Financial Sustainability, Heritage and Planning, and Public and Community Housing. The establishment of these committees will broaden the ways residents can strategically engage with Council.  

A formal Expressions of Interest process will open in the coming weeks. Keep an eye on our website and social media channels for the launch announcement.
