For nearly 30 years, Operation Stitches has fostered inclusivity and support for Yarra’s public housing families, making it a cornerstone of the community in Diversity and Inclusion.

Operation Stitches - Contribution to Diversity and Inclusion award winner 2024
Founded in 1996, Operation Stitches engages children from diverse backgrounds in mentoring, tutoring, and community-building activities. From the weekly Kid’s Club to the annual Christmas Party, they create joyful spaces for families, providing essentials, meals, and a sense of belonging.
Known as “High Rise Angels,” Operation Stitches empowers young people to make positive life choices and brings families together, building a welcoming community for all.
