Kel Bryant (OAM) - Collingwood Youth Boxing Club - Contributions to Sport award winner 2024

As head coach at the Collingwood Youth Boxing Club, Kel provides a safe, supportive space for young people from diverse backgrounds. His commitment to Marissa Williamson Pohlman, whom he trained to become the first Aboriginal woman to qualify for the Paris Olympics in boxing, exemplifies his impact. Over three years, he’s helped her overcome hardship.

Beyond youth training, Kel offers weekly classes to local nurses, hosts LGBTIQA+ karate sessions, and opens the club to community groups, making the club a welcoming hub for all.
