Yarra City Council has presented its draft Council Plan 2025-29, which recognises the ways we work to support our municipality and those who live, work and play in the City of Yarra.

The draft Plan is built around four strategic priorities:

  1. Living in the City – We are a City for everyone. We are welcoming, friendly and connected, where everyone is safe and supported

  1. Building the City – We have the infrastructure we need to accommodate a growing community.

  1. Working and Playing in the City - We have a thriving economy with a variety of opportunities to work, create, play and celebrate.

  1. Running the City – We are transparent and accountable, making evidence-based decisions to ensure the sustainability and health of Yarra.

These objectives reflect the collective insights and intentions of Councillors and will guide the work of the Yarra City Council over the next four years, ensuring that decisions and actions are responsive to and grounded in the needs and voices of our community.

After extensive feedback from the community, from tomorrow, we will commence the third and final stage of consultation on the draft Council Plan.

This will be your chance to review and provide feedback on our not only the draft Council Plan, but also our Community Vision Reflection and Update, and our draft Financial Plan.
