Home maintenance and repairs

We can help improve the safety of your home by helping with minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing smoke alarm batteries and lawn mowing.

These services are delivered as part of the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). If you are not a current client, contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 to register. For more information or to discuss referrals contact Senior Support Services on 9205 5285.

Our services

Our minor repairs and general maintenance services help make sure your home is safe and accessible. Home maintenance is provided on weekdays during regular working hours. You will need to pay for the cost of any materials. 

General home maintenance and minor repairs

We can help with tasks such as replacing light globes, smoke detector installation and maintenance, minor repairs and more. Tasks that require a qualified tradesperson are not included.

Home adjustments 

We can provide some home modification work, such as installing grab rails, ramps and handheld showers, for individuals assessed as eligible via My Aged Care. To find out more contact Senior Support Services on 9205 5285.

Gardening

We can provide monthly help with your garden and nature strip. Services include lawn mowing, whipper snipping edges of a path, pruning shrubs and trimming branches to make sure your home is safe and accessible. Weeding, other pruning and general gardening services are not included. 

Deep cleaning

We can provide up to 2 hours of cleaning 2 times a year, to help: 

  • dust hard to reach spots
  • clean filters for clothes dryers, rangehoods and exhaust fans
  • clean windows
  • rehanging curtains
  • clean windowsills, skirting boards, venetian blinds and flyscreens.
