COVID-19 Update: Victoria's pandemic declaration coming to an end.

Monday 10 October 2022

The Victorian Government has announced that Victoria's pandemic declaration will come to an end at 11.59pm Wednesday 12 October.

The expiration of the declaration means mandatory isolation will end for Victorians from Thursday 13 October.

The isolation requirement is due to end nationally on Friday 14 October after an announcement from the Australian Government two weeks ago.

Isolation for positive cases will however be strongly recommended to help keep people safe through summer.

Vaccines mandates to remain for healthcare workers

The Victorian Government also announced vaccination mandates for health workers would remain in place beyond the pandemic declaration.

Other industries will also be able to maintain mandatory vaccines if employers deem it necessary under health and safety laws.
