I will be taking a leave of absence from my Councillor duties at Yarra City Council, effective from Wednesday 3 August to Sunday 27 November 2022 inclusive due to my candidacy in the upcoming state election.

Taking a leave of absence is not required under the Local Government Act 2020 or Councils policies, but is common practice for candidates in similar circumstances - I have chosen to do so in the interests of maintaining community confidence. I will also voluntarily forgo my Councillor allowance during this period of leave.

I have advised the Mayor, CEO and Municipal Monitor of my leave arrangements.
