At last night’s Council Meeting, Council adopted the following items:

• Swan Street Streetscape Masterplan, subject to the supplementation of an additional section.
• Planning Scheme Amendment C280yara, regarding 32-68 Mollison Street in Abbotsford.

 Progress updates and reports were also heard on:

• Yarra Energy Foundation support and the deployment of a community battery and the establishment of the new Metropolitan Community Power Hub 
• 2021/22 Annual Plan Quarterly (December) 
• Finance Report for December 2021.

Delegates’ reports:  

• A delegates' report was presented to Council on the Metropolitan Local Government Waste Forum, the details of which can be found in the minutes from this meeting. 

General business:

• Council moved a motion to advocate for the release of refugees from closed immigration centres; specifically that Council advocate to the Minister for Home Affairs and the Minister for Immigration for the release of refugees from closed immigration facilities, including the Park Hotel.
