Rubbish collection services will be adjusted for the week starting Monday 24 December. No collections will take place on Christmas Day (Tuesday 25 December). 

Services from Tuesday 25 to Friday 28 December will take place on the day following your regular collection day:

Regular rubbish collection services will resume from Monday 31 December 2018.

Recycling drop-off centre

Our recycling drop-off centre in Clifton Hill will operate on an adjusted schedule over the holiday period: 

Monday 24 December – 8am to 12noon
Christmas Day (Tuesday 25 December) - CLOSED
Boxing Day (Wednesday 26 December) - 9am to 4pm
New Years’ Day (Tuesday 1 January 2019) - 10am to 2pm

All other days will operate on our regular schedule.

Hard waste and green waste collections

There will be no hard waste or green waste collections on Christmas Day (Tuesday 25 December), Boxing Day (Wednesday 26 December) and New Years’ Day (Tuesday 1 January 2019). 

Christmas tree collection

We are offering residents a free Christmas tree collection service throughout January. We mulch the trees so that they can have a new life in Yarra’s parks and gardens. Visit our green waste collection page for information on how to make your booking.
