Nominations are now open for St John Ambulance Victoria's inaugural First Aid Champion Awards to honour those who have made a lasting impact to people's lives by using their first aid skills and knowledge.

The awards program will provide a unique opportunity for Victorians to honour unsung heroes – whether they be colleagues, classmates, friends or family.

Consisting of five categories, the First Aid Champion Awards recognises that first aid is a vital skill to have, irrespective of age, gender, background or health status.

The categories for nominations are:

• Junior (under 12) first aid champion
• Youth (under 18) first aid champion
• School first aid champion
• Community first aid champion
• Workplace first aid champion

If you know someone who you believe is deserving of state-wide recognition, now is the time to put them forward!

Nominations close Wednesday 22 August, so nominate them now! 

An awards ceremony will be held on Friday 7 September.
