Your chance to have a say on the next steps in designing Cremorne’s future
Now is your opportunity to provide a submission on the revised Cremorne Urban Design Framework and Draft Amendment C318yara.
We all love Cremorne -- where heritage buildings sit alongside cutting-edge new developments. A suburb full of thriving cafes, small businesses, tech industries and residential pockets.
In 2022, Yarra City Council developed the Cremorne Urban Design Framework (UDF) to guide the growth, development, and character of Cremorne. The draft version of the UDF was released in November 2022 for community feedback.
We have updated the draft UDF based on community feedback and are working to finalise it. We're also moving forward with a draft amendment to the Yarra Planning Scheme (Draft Amendment C318yara) to implement the revised UDF.
Through this amendment, Council is proposing to introduce the following as part of its changes:
- permanent built form and design requirements for the commercial areas in Cremorne
- new planning policy to guide future development and strategic sites
- maximum parking requirements for new commercial developments
