Road naming proposal in Richmond

At the Council meeting held on Tuesday the 8^th of July at Fitzroy Town Hall, after considering the results of the community consultation on the matter, Council resolved to assign the name “Yirram Lane” to the laneway in-between 162/3 Buckingham Street and 53 Davison Street, Richmond

In considering this naming proposal, Council has been be guided by its own policy and the State Government’s Guidelines for Geographic Names.

The naming proposal will be submitted to the Registrar of Geographic Names for consideration and inclusion in VICNAMES.
