Help shape a safer, more welcoming Collingwood
We're asking you to tell us about places you like visiting and/or places where you don't feel safe in Collingwood.
Yarra City Council is running a community safety project in the part of Collingwood within Perry, Gipps, Wellington and Hoddle Streets. This will help us better understand community safety concerns and improve how public spaces are designed, managed and used.
The project will use an approach called Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). This approach aims to improve how public spaces are designed, managed and used. It looks into factors like lighting and visibility, as well as community connection and public activity.
Tell us about what works well, places you like to visit and/or places where you don’t feel safe in streets and public spaces in this part of Collingwood. We want to hear from locals and visitors.
We'll use community feedback, local knowledge, site visits and data to understand what is working well and where improvements could be made as part of a future action plan. The action plan aims to design measures to better support community safety, access, connection and positive activity in this part of Collingwood.
