Have your say on our draft Ageing Well Policy

We want to ensure that our older residents can thrive in Yarra.

18 Nov 2025

Yarra City Council has drafted an Ageing Well Policy to create a more age-friendly Yarra, where older people are supported to age well and their strengths and contributions are valued.

At the Council Meeting on Tuesday 11 November, Council endorsed the draft Ageing Well Policy to go out for a second stage of community consultation.

The draft Policy outlines four key priority areas that Council will focus on to help create a more age-friendly Yarra:

  • Advocacy and Stewardship
  • Opportunities for Healthy Ageing
  • Age-friendly Environments
  • Community Services

Now is your chance to provide feedback on these priority areas and the draft Ageing Well Policy before the document is considered for adoption next year in 2026. Provide your feedback before the consultation closes at 9am on Monday 15 December 2025.
