Community Safety Month in Yarra

Across the month of October a variety of events will be held across Yarra in conjunction with Victoria Police and the Neighbourhood Justice Centre, including a Scam Safety workshop and a SafePL8 Community Day.

 

To kick start the month we headed along earlier today to join the Proactive Policing Unit at Victoria Gardens Shopping Centre.

 

It was a great chance for locals to chat with our police officers, pick up helpful crime prevention tips and resources, and share their thoughts with the Victoria Police team.

 

Take the opportunity to attend our upcoming events so you can speak directly with our incredible service workers and gain an understanding of the vital work they do for our community.
 

SafePL8 is a Victoria Police initiative that helps people secure number plates with anti-theft screws. The aim is to make number plates harder to steal or be used illegally. Join the team for a chat and learn how you can access and install anti-theft screws to make your vehicle safer. The Crimestoppers team will also be there with top tips on keeping your car safe!
