Christmas and New Years Opening Hours

As the end of year approaches, we will be changing our hours over the Christmas and New Year holiday break.

Return chutes will remain open throughout this time, but no items will be due for return while our branches are closed.

As always you can renew and reserve items through the catalogue or library app, and access eBooks and Audiobooks 24/7.

As usual, our Open Library members will still be able to access our branches during this time.

Library Opening Hours

• Wednesday 24 December (Christmas Eve) 
  All branches are open 10am to 2pm
• Thursday 25 December (Christmas Day) and Friday 26 December (Boxing Day)  
  Closed (Open Library access available at all branches except Fitzroy Library)
• Saturday 27 December 
  Bargoonga Nganjin North Fitzroy, Carlton, Fitzroy and Richmond Libraries: open 10am to 4pm 
  Collingwood Library: open 10am to 1pm
• Sunday 28 December 
  Bargoonga Nganjin North Fitzroy, Carlton, Fitzroy and Richmond Libraries: open 2pm to 5pm 
  Collingwood Library: Closed
• Monday 29 December to Wednesday 31 December 
  All branches: 10am to 5pm
• Thursday 1 January (New Year’s Day) 
  Closed (Open Library access available at all branches except Fitzroy Library)
• Friday 2 January  
  All branches return to regular hours: open 10am to 6pm
