The Victoria Street Lunar Festival returns in 2023 by welcoming the Year of the Cat.

This year, the Vietnamese heart of Richmond comes to life in true hawker food style focusing on the outdoor dining experience. Local restaurants will extend their trade to footpath dining, complemented by a small number of food stalls and food trucks. Victoria Street Lunar Festival has become one of the most popular Lunar New Year celebrations in Victoria. We invite people of all cultural backgrounds to commemorate the start of the Lunar New Year with food and firecrackers.

Temporary closure of Victoria Street, Richmond and Abbotsford
Victoria Street will be closed between Hoddle and Church streets at 11.59pm Saturday 4 February and will re-open at approximately 5am on Monday 6 February. 

Tow away
Victoria Street (between Hoddle and Church Street) Richmond will be a tow-away area to facilitate the traffic management for the Victoria Street Lunar Festival. This tow-away area takes affect at 4pm on Saturday 4 February and expires at 5am on Monday 6 February.
