Hailed as one of the best creative pivots of 2020, THE BANDWAGON is a new, innovative, COVIDSafe live entertainment venue.

Just as the original Taco Truck packaged up the flavour of Mexico & brought it to the people, The Bandwagon packages the flavour of an intimate jazz/music club & brings it curb-side featuring some of Yarra’s young musical talent, including local band The Switches, Cooper Jack and ILKA.

The Switches
Bonded over a love of punk/rock bands like Pixies, Breeders and Bikini Kill Arlo, Ava, Poppy & Soleil started their band at the age of 12. Now wiser at thirteen, Switches are playing their third public show. The band of four switch instruments throughout the set, each playing at least two. Pumped to be back in Fitzroy in February they’ll be playing a brand new set.

ILKA
ILKA is an Indie pop artist from Melbourne who writes songs instead of getting therapy.

She has a strong deep velvety voice that she pairs with poetic lyrics. Her debut single ‘Isolated' made quite a splash charting in the top 10 of triple J’s unearthed. Her latest creation 'Skin' has been recorded at home throughout lockdown and enhanced with some beautiful analogue synths and re-programmed beats by renowned producer Dan West.

Cooper Jack
Cooper Jack is a 16-year-old aspiring artist fresh out of Melbourne’s Inner West. Cooper wrote his first song at 10 years old and has been writing ever since.

Developing a love of music through busking and playing local gigs in Melbourne’s inner city, Cooper is passionate about producing indie pop beats inspired by modern hip hop and acoustic sounds.
