Over 3 weekends in December local artists will be popping up for roving performances in Yarra's iconic streets.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions our annual Carols in the Park event isn't able to go ahead, but we still wanted to bring some festive cheer to Yarra. This year we’ve created Rock Around the Block – a form of roving entertainment that will visit various locations across Yarra on weekends in December.

This event supports local musicians by providing employment opportunities and gives musicians a chance to perform live again. Celebrating live music is a big part of the rich culture we have here in Yarra, and we’re committed to COVID recovery and ensuring everyone can bounce back successfully. Rock Around the Block will not only support our arts community, but it will help bring people back to our shopping and dining precincts which have also struggled this year. 

We've enlisted the help of local Yarra businesses, Trucked Up Entertainment and Press Play to put together busking-style entertainment for you to enjoy while you shop and sip in some of our much loved precincts.

Some seriously talented local artists will provide the backing track to your weekend. They'll be popping up for 30 minutes at each location, before trucking off to their next destination, spreading the holiday cheer across Yarra as they go.

Kee'ahn and SaD will bring the holiday vibes from 5pm and 9.30pm

Amaya Laucirica and Zulya and the Children of the Underground will be rocking around the streets of Yarra from 12 midday to 4.30pm
