Remembrance Day honours all Australians who have served, suffered or died in wars, conflicts and peace operations.
Observed each year on 11 November, it marks the anniversary of the 1918 Armistice that ended fighting in the First World War.
The City of Yarra hosts an annual Remembrance Day service at the Barkly Gardens War Memorial.
Join us for a morning of speeches, an official wreath-laying ceremony and a minute's silence at 11am as we commemorate this day together with Richmond RSL.
RSVP by Monday 26 October
Observing a minute of silence
At 11 am, people across Australia pause for one minute of silence as a simple act of respect, reflection and gratitude.
Ode of Remembrance
They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
Lest we forget.
