Tuesday 23 January 2018
Our Yarra Youth Services team works around-the-clock to offer fun and engaging activities for our young people every school holidays.
This summer, the program included a day at the beach in Mornington, mountain biking, a rooftop party, surfing at Ocean Grove, a film screening in the city and a day at Geelong Adventure Park.
Youth Development Officer Jade Blair sees the program as a great opportunity for kids to make friends outside the classroom. “The most important thing is that the kids have a great time and enjoy their school holidays,” she said.
Yarra Mayor, Cr Daniel Nguyen joined the group for their table-tennis tournament. “It’s awesome to see our younger community making the most of what we have in Yarra and beyond,” he said.
“They’re learning important real-life skills that will put them in good stead to be future leaders in our community.”
Sign up to our program before the next school holidays.
