At Tuesday night’s Council Meeting, Council:  

• endorsed the draft 2024/25 Budget and Long-Term Financial Plan for public exhibition and community feedback. 
• resolved to address cost-shifting from the State Government and cease maintenance on State Government assets to provide better outcomes for the Yarra community.
• endorsed the draft Climate Emergency Plan 2024-2030 for public exhibition and Stage 2 of community consultation. 
• approved Amendment C286yara for submission to the Minister for Planning for adoption.
• adopted the Service Planning and Review Principles.
• endorsed the Woi-Wurrung name of Collingwood, ‘Yallabirrang’, in the naming of the new kindergarten at Collingwood College, following consultation with the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation.
• endorsed the Round 2 Arts and Culture 2024 Annual Grants program community panel’s recommendations, to award 18 grants totalling $205,000.
• endorsed updated Street Garden Guidelines.
• approved Miller Street Local Area Place-Making upgrades.
