Yarra City Council’s next Council Meeting is scheduled for 6.30pm on Tuesday 9 April 2024 at Richmond Town Hall.  

Key items on the agenda:  

• Draft 2024/25 Budget and Long-Term Financial Plan: 
  Endorsement of the draft Budget and Long-Term Financial Plan by Council will be sought to enable public exhibition of the documents and community feedback.
• Deliberative Engagement - Service Planning and Review Principles:
  These principles, developed through comprehensive community engagement, aim to refine service planning and review processes. Formal adoption by Council will be considered.
• Climate Emergency Plan - Stage 2 Community Consultation:
  Endorsement of the draft Climate Emergency Plan 2024-2030 by Council will be sought to enable public exhibition and Stage 2 community consultation, scheduled to run between April and May 2024.
• Miller Street Local Area Place-Making upgrades:
  Proposed upgrades to existing traffic management treatments on Miller Street, Fitzroy North, following a Local Area Place Making Study in 2018/19, will be presented to Council for approval.
• Amendment C286yara - Public Open Space Contribution:
  The final panel report on the public open space contribution amendment will be presented to Council. Consideration will be given to approving Amendment C286yara for submission to the Minister for Planning for adoption.
• Arts and Culture Annual Grants Report:
  Endorsement of the recommendations for the Round 2 Arts and Culture 2024 Annual Grants, part of Yarra’s Community Grants Program, will be sought from Council.
• Maintenance of Department of Transport and Planning assets:
  A report detailing a strategy for the maintenance of key infrastructure assets will be presented to Council, to ensure that community assets remain functional and accessible.
• Street Garden Guidelines:
  An updated draft of the Street Garden Guidelines document, considering feedback from community consultation in late 2023, will be presented to Council for endorsement.
