Yarra City Council is working with the Victorian Government to create new job opportunities for unemployed workers through the Working for Victoria initiative.

Yarra is creating more than 67 new local positions to help respond to and support local business and the community during coronavirus (COVID-19).

Under the initiative, Yarra is creating a range of positions to help support outdoor dining and strengthen our community wellness initiatives.

The roles will help provide additional local business support and liaison, clean and maintain outdoor dining spaces and enrich these spaces with arts and cultural displays as well as provide a coordinated community response to reduce digital and physical isolation and build capacity to connect with community services and support organisations.

Yarra’s partnership with the Victorian Government and Working for Victoria is providing important opportunities for people who have lost their jobs, including those impacted by COVID-19, to find paid work that supports our local businesses and community.

For more information, including current vacancies and how to apply, visit the Working for Victoria website.
