Parenting after violence

A five-week online program for mothers dealing with the effects of family violence.

Proudly presented by cohealth, these sessions will include a mix of psychoeducational information, group discussions and peer support, self-care and meditation.

• Family violence and its effects on you and your children
• Understanding children and their behaviour
• Understanding yourselves and your challenges as parents
• Moving on as parent (after family violence)
• Developing skills for parenting
• Self-care

Regardless of your experience in early childhood education, there are a few things you can do to prepare your family for the leap into prep. The transition from kinder to prep is an exciting time. It can also feel quite overwhelming and can be challenging to decide if now is the ‘right time’.

Parental Burnout

Presented by Frances Bilbao, Clinical Psychologist and founder of Mums Matter Psychology group this webinar this presentation will help if you are finding the stress of parenting difficult to manage.

When daily stress becomes chronic it can turn into parental burnout. This is an intense exhaustion that leads parents to feeling detached from their children and unsure of their parenting abilities, distinct from other forms of burnout.

This session covers:

• What is burnout?
• How burnout can show up in your life
• What is putting you at risk?
• Skills to reduce risk and start feeling better
