It’s a welcome return to the Abbotsford Convent for Melbourne Farmers Markets (MFM), who have been in the St Heliers Street neighbourhood since the 1990’s, playing a significant part in the fight to save the precinct from development and establishing Melbourne’s first accredited farmers market next door at the Collingwood Children’s Farm.
Melbourne Farmers Markets connect Victorian farmers and food producers direct to seven neighbourhoods across Melbourne. The Convent is the final piece in a local weekly loop of accredited farmers markets in the City of Yarra including Collingwood Children’s Farm (second Saturday every month), and Carlton North Primary School (first and third Saturdays every month).

Via train - Catch the Epping or Hurstbridge line train and get off at Victoria Park train station. Walk 5-10 minutes east along Johnston Street, turn right into Clarke Street and left into St. Helliers Street.
