About the amendment
The amendment introduced interim built form controls that affect heights and setbacks of new buildings. The interim controls expire on 31 December 2019.
Specifically, the amendment:
- Introduced Schedule 15 to the Design and Development Overlay (DDO15) on an interim basis whilst a full planning scheme amendment process (Amendment C220) is undertaken
- Introduced an interim Heritage Overlay (HO505) to the section of Johnston Street, in between Hoddle Street and the railway bridge.
- Listed the Johnston Street Local Area Plan as a reference document in the Yarra Planning Scheme.

We are seeking permanent controls via Amendment C220.
