Chemical collection facilities
Paint, household batteries and fluorescent lighting can be dropped off year round at one of the permanent sites located across Victoria. There is a list of the permanent Detox Your Home sites on the Sustainability Victoria website.
Sustainability Victoria's Detox Your Home mobile service accepts a wide range of household chemical products. Mobile collections are scheduled at councils around Victoria, usually on a Saturday.
It is free to drop off materials at the mobile collections. You must register in advance to do this.
You can register on the Sustainability Victoria website. if you are unable to register on-line you can contact Sustainability Victoria on 1300 363 744. Once you have registered, you will be provided with the specific drop-off address.
