Council has received an application for the site at 1 Little Lesney Street and 9 Wiltshire Street, Richmond. The application proposes to demolish the existing building on site and construct a 15-storey serviced apartment building.
A previous permit for the site was granted by the VCAT allowing for:
‘Full demolition and development of the land for the construction of a 10 storey building (pus 2 basement levels), use of part of the site ad a food and drinks premises (café), reduction in the car parking requirement associated with dwellings and a food and drinks premises and a waiver of the loading bay requirements and variation of the drainage easement on the land.’
The subject site is located within the Mixed Use Zone and covered by Design and Development Overlay – Schedule 5 and 17, Environment Audit Overlay and part of the site is covered by Heritage Overlay – Schedule 335.
