Council has received a planning permit application seeking approval for the construction of two 15-storey buildings with basements, containing a residential hotel, food and drink premises (cafés) and offices and a reduction in the car parking requirements.

Features of the proposal include:

Subdivision of the site into 2 lots;
Construction of two x 15 storey buildings (2 basement levels to the western building) within a staged development;
Use of the eastern building as a residential hotel with 197 rooms, and ancillary restaurant, conference rooms, roof top bar and gym;
Use of the western building as offices (NFA 21,844sqm – no permit required for this use), with 4 x ground floor food and drink premises (total leasable floor area of 783sqm);
126 car parking spaces provided in the basements below the western building;
302 bicycle parking spaces throughout the development;
An on-site loading bay.
