Council has received a planning application seeking approval for full demolition of the existing building and construction of a seven (7) storey building containing 24 dwellings (no permit required for use), including associated reduction in the statutory car parking requirements.

Features of the proposal include:

Addition of two levels to the approved five-storey office building resulting in a seven storey building;
No permit required for office use;
Total office gross floor area increased from 781sqm to 1051sqm;
Provision of car parking at ground floor (previously only office space, with no car parking on-site) and vehicle access provided from Rokeby Street; and
Total of 6 car spaces provided at ground floor, with the number of on-site bicycle spaces reduced from 10 to 4.
