Council recently determined to issue a Notice of Decision to Refuse to Grant a Permit at its Development Assessment Panel Meeting on 21 July 2017 based on the following ground

• The height, design and setbacks of the development do not respect the character and context of the area.

On 10 August 2017 Council was advised by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) that the Applicant had lodged an Application for Review to its decision.

On 29 November 2017 Council was advised by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) that they had set aside Council's decision and directed Council to issue a permit for the following

Development of the land for construction of a multi-storey building, use as ‘Shop’, a reduction in the car parking requirements and alteration of access to a road in a Road Zone Category 1 in accordance with the endorsed plans.

Council has not yet endorsed plans/documents which it can provide to the public. Once plans are endorsed/documents, they will become public documents and be available on this page.
