Playgroups
Community and supported Playgroups are currently not running.
Although playgroups are not able to meet indoors in the COVID-19 environment, we are still actively working to link Yarra families with relevant parenting information, resources, services and programs.
We are continuing to support families already connected with our supported playgroups, as well as accepting new referrals for our supported playgroups so that families can participate in these when they resume.
Our supported playgroup facilitators are all working remotely via phone, email and other platforms to meet the needs of families and to keep groups connected. We can also support families in community playgroups, where required.
Should you require further information, please contact us on 03 9205 5493 or playgroups@yarracity.vic.gov.au
Playgroup Victoria and Raising Children have published some wonderful play at home ideas for families at home together.
We are working towards reopening council venues for playgroups to resume meeting and will update our website and contact existing groups directly.
