How to apply for a land information certificate

If you are selling your property you will need a land information certificate so that the correct settlement of sale can be made.

You can ask your solicitor or conveyancer to apply for the land information certificate.

Cost of a Land Information Certificate

As of 1 July 2017 the cost of a land information certificate is:

  • $25.90 for normal processing (allow 5 business days for an electronic application);
  • $67.00 for urgent certificates required within 24 hours (available only via web application).

Due to recent changes in the service delivery times of Australia Post, Council's ability to provide Land Information Certificates via regular mail has been affected. We encourage all applicants to apply for this information electronically, as responses to applications via regular mail may take in excess of three (3) weeks to be returned to your office.
