We provide a number of services to help people with disability not eligible for the NDIS to live independent and healthy lives.
We are not a registered service provider under the NDIS. If you are eligible for the NDIS, you will receive services and support from a registered NDIS service provider.
We can assist with household tasks like vacuuming, assistance with laundry, cleaning the bathroom, unescorted shopping.
Personal care services can assist you with important daily care tasks. We can help you with showering, dressing, personal hygiene and grooming.
A home carer will come to your home to support you so that the person who takes care of you can have a break.
We help make your home a safe environment by assisting with minor repairs and maintenance, lawn mowing and changing smoke alarm batteries.
Following a referral from an Occupational Therapist we assist with the installation of ramps, handrails and other safety equipment.
A community bus provides you with free transport to our day centres, organised activities, or shopping trips.
We offer a free transport to and from group activities, services and shopping trips, and hire out buses to community organisations for day trips and weekend excursions.
To access our community transport service, you will need to be assessed as eligible for the service.
You can join in with our organised recreational activities, events and social support networks to keep you active and involved in community life.
We can take you shopping and escort you to medical appointments.
We deliver nutritious meals to your home. You can also come to the Djerring Centre and enjoy a meal with other people in your area.
How to access the NDIS
To participate in the NDIS, you must be eligible. Eligibility information and guides for planning an application are available from the NDIS website.

The Brotherhood of St Laurence (BSL) is the local partner in the community in the delivery of the NDIS across North East Melbourne.

We charge a fee for most of these services. However, the fee varies according to the type of services you receive and your income.
How to access our services
To access our services you need to be assessed by an assessment officer.
Arranging an assessment:

- An assessment officer will meet with you to discuss your care needs and how the services operate.
