The Fitzroy Writers Festival is back in 2025! Join us under the chandeliers of Fitzroy’s first public library for a stellar line-up of writers, thinkers and artists.

Join us this Autumn for free learning programs and events at your local Yarra Libraries branch and online. You can find author talks and bookish events, film screenings, digital literacy workshops/talks and much more happening near you.We also have the return of the Fitzroy Writers Festival!

In response to the forecast heatwave, Yarra Libraries will operate with extended opening hours at selected branches between Sunday 2 February and Tuesday 4 February 2025.

The BIG Summer Read is back and registrations are now open! The BIG Summer Read challenges you to pick up a book and keep reading over the holidays.

Over June, July, and August we're participating in the Warm Winter Read, a reading program for adults aged 16+.
