Improving road safety so everyone can enjoy Yarra

This week, Council adopted a new Road Safety Study Policy to provide a framework for road safety projects across Yarra.
The new policy outlines a consistent and fair approach towards the investigation of all road safety matters, the provision of safe and accessible streets, particularly for more vulnerable road users, the development of innovative ways to address road safety issues, and to improve vegetation and urban design.
The policy will be applied to two road safety pilot studies on streets in Clifton Hill/North Abbotsford and Richmond and will include opportunities for community engagement.
