Public Notice: Notice of intention to enter into leases

Coppin St, Richmond

Yarra City Council gives notice under Section 190 of the Local Government Act 1989 (the Act) of its intention to enter into a lease agreement with The Scout Association of Australia – Victoria Branch for the Council property known as Loughnan Hall at 67-69 Coppin Street Richmond. The Lease is to be for a period of 20 years at $1 per year plus an in kind contribution in the form of a capital upgrade of the facility with an estimated value of $650,000.

Council wishes to advise that its intention to enter into this lease does not affect the ongoing use of the property by its existing tenants, aside from a possible temporary dislocation during building works.

Hosie St, Richmond

Yarra City Council gives notice under Section 190 of the Local Government Act 1989 (the Act) of its intention to enter into a lease agreement with The Mental Health Foundation Australia for the Council property at 3 Hosie Street Richmond. The Lease is to be for a period of three years at market rental plus an in kind contribution in the form of a minor capital upgrade of the facility with an estimated value of less than $10,000.

Council wishes to advise that its intention to enter into this lease does not affect the ongoing use of the property by its existing tenants, aside from possible temporary disruption during building works.

Bridge Rd, Richmond

Yarra City Council gives notice under Section 190 of the Local Government Act 1989 (the Act) of its intention to enter into a lease agreement with JB HiFi Group Pty Ltd for the Council property at Ground Floor, 345 Bridge Road Richmond. The Lease is to be for a period of five years at no less than market rental.

Written submissions regarding these proposed lease will be considered by Council in accordance with Section 223 of the Act.
