Yarra acknowledges the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and culture in our city.

This development funding offers a once off amount of $10,000 to individual creative practitioners and organisations to contribute towards the development of a new work by artists who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander within the City of Yarra.

The funding is to support the costs of a creative development including artist fees, research materials, equipment hire and venue costs.

The proposed activities may take any art form but must be of high cultural and artistic merit and show a clear relevance Yarra’s community with a preference towards works that seeks to engage the community in its development.
