Help us keep childcare fair

Wednesday 20 February 2019

Tell us how we should prioritise our childcare and kindergarten places.

We are updating our Priority of Access Policy, which helps ensure that our childcare and kindergarten places are offered to families with the greatest need.

The policy applies to various types of childcare, including long day care, occasional care, casual care, and out of school hours care, as well as 4-year old kindergarten.

Examples of children offered priority under the policy include children at risk of abuse or neglect, children with disability, asylum seeker or refugee children, children living in Yarra, and children with siblings already enrolled in a service.

Take our 3-minute survey before Wednesday 20 March 2019 to help us keep childcare fair in Yarra.

Visit Your Say Yarra to view the full proposed policy, the proposed order of priority, and a summary of changes from the previous version of the policy.
