Upcoming construction works on Victoria Parade

Monday 17 September 2018

m41 Victoria Parade

The M41 Merri Creek to MCG Water Main Renewal Project will be undertaking construction works on Victoria Parade between Saturday 22 September to Monday 8 October.

 Why are the works happening?

The M41 water main supplies drinking water to over 350,000 residents and businesses in Melbourne's inner suburbs.

The existing water main is almost 100 years old and deteriorating, meaning it needs to be replaced to avoid leaks that create significant community disturbance.

When are the works happening?

The works will commence on Victoria Parade from 1am Saturday 22 September until Monday 8 October.

Work crews will work 24 hours a day, day and night, through this period to complete the water main renewal works.

No works will be undertaken during the AFL Grand Final period between the morning of Friday 28 September to the morning of Sunday 30 September. Traffic detours will remain in place.

Where are the works happening on Victoria Parade?

Between Napier and Gore streets.
