Don't miss our 2018/19 budget info sessions
Friday 01 December 2017
We’re in the early stages of planning our next budget for 2018/19 and we want to hear from you.
We prepare a budget each year to allocate funding to a wide range of community services and programs, as well as upgrades to public buildings and infrastructure.
When developing the budget, we need to consider a number of factors and financial constraints, and carefully balance the priorities of our diverse community.
Our budget needs to fund essential services that all councils are required to provide and respond to the additional needs and expectations of our growing community.
To help develop a draft budget for 2018/19 we are asking the community to share their ideas early in the process. This will help us better understand our community’s priorities for the upcoming financial year as part of our planning.
Community input will also be provided to councillors as part of their budget deliberations early in 2018.
We’re asking people to share their views from Friday 1 December 2017 until Friday 19 January 2018.
