Thanks to a 25-year agreement between Yarra City Council and Yarra Primary School, the outdoor recreation area at the school is available for public use during the following times:

• Schooldays from 7am to 8am and after 5pm
• Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays all day

Features of the outdoor recreation area include:

• rain garden and nature play areas
• parkour facilities
• table tennis area
• games area with hopscotch and a maze
• BBQ and picnic settings
