Birch Psychology was started by Kate & Nicole in 2015. They met whilst working together with young people in a mental health team. Kate says, "We decided to join forces."

Their first location in Carlton North was chosen as it was close to both Melbourne University and the Parkville hospital precinct. But there were other benefits, as Kate explains, "We love that each part of Yarra feels like its own distinct neighbourhood, and this sense of community helps us, and the people we work with, feel connected to and part of a broader social network."

"We have built wonderful relationships with clients and other health professionals in Carlton North, so with our recent growth we wanted to stay close by. We had a long search for property in the area, and are very excited to now also be calling Fitzroy North home!"
