Reusable Nappy Workshops
Thursday 14 September 2023 - Wednesday 22 November 2023

Save money and reduce landfill waste with reusable nappies.
The Nappy Project is hosting a range of free online and in-person community workshops to provide families in Yarra with advice and support to try reusable nappies.
This project is supported by the Circular Economy Councils Fund. The Fund is delivered by Sustainability Victoria under the Victorian Government’s circular economy policy, Recycling Victoria: a new economy.
There are a range of free online and in-person community workshops available to parents and caregivers in the City of Yarra.
Registration is required to attend any of the workshops. So ensure you secure your place while they last.

Other options
Diaper Recycle offer a fortnightly disposable nappy collection for a subscription fee. Wipes, biodegradable nappies and nappies made with plant-based PLA plastic are not accepted. Diaper Recycle advise that the plastic from nappies collected go to a plastic recycler, and the fibre is used to make cat litter. While recycling is a better option than landfill, reusable nappies are far more environmentally friendly and cheaper than recycling disposable nappies.
