Choose-your-own adventure in the real world!

Child Nation is a new project by artist Jessica Wilson that brings out kids' imaginations, celebrates their weirdest ideas and gives them full permission to be themselves.

Using a hand-held device, you are prompted to answer fun questions in response to the things you see around you. Then your ideas are used as part of a story-like adventure that happens in the real world. Hide a note to a ghost, have a conversation with a private fear, listen to the buildings talk, or even imagine you are a mushroom!

Child Nation will be at the Abbotsford Convent until June, with 5 different adventures in English, Mandarin, Korean and Spanish.

For kids aged 7-11 years.

Meet the Child Nation guide from Monday to Saturday between 10am and 4pm.

Each adventure takes approximately 15 minutes at your own pace.
